While purchasing used radios, we stumbled upon an unsettling trend: some radio sellers apply tire dressing to make radios look glossy and new.

According to fire safety experts, these chemicals are highly flammable and should not be applied to handheld electronics. Worse yet, they can leave a greasy residue that's both unpleasant and caustic to skin. (These chemicals are so toxic, they’ll even eat the surface of rubber tires as well).
