Q 3 Questions...What is the difference on the antennas? What is Phase 2P 25? What is an advanced system?. Is there a difference between the tall and short antennas?

A This equipment is highly nuanced and technical. It is designed for public safety and government users. These are questions for your radio's network system administrator. This radio is not for individual or private use.

Q Does this include the battery and charger?

A All accessories are sold as options. Select __ to customize the radio.

Q If I am a licensed ham and gmrs operator can I still buy it ?

A Unfortunately, individuals are expressly prohibited from buying this item, regardless of their affiliation.

Q Are these radios enabled with "RA" or "link layer" authentication? As in, would our radio shop be able to add RA keys for the Ohio MARCS system while they are being programmed?

A I would suggest you send the link for this product to your radio admin to confirm compatibility. The radios cannot be modified, so you need to make sure the existing flashcode is compatible, otherwise the radios will not work. Your radio admin is the best person to do this.

A Please complete the 'request for approval' button under 'buy & add options'. Once you submit your request, we also need a copy of your signed NYS sales tax exempt certificate. We will reach out for the tax certificate after receiving your approval request.

Q Can you program it

A It's possible but generally these are programmed by the radio administrator. If these are going on a trunking network, the sys admin would need to program it to avoid conflict.

Q Does it have a digital screen on the side of the radio that it not shown?

A No, it only has the LCD on the top.

Q Are you able to program public safety channels that are on P25 phase 2?

A We cannot program trunking channels. We can only program public safety frequencies when we receive permission, in writing, from the agency responsible.

Q I am here on behalf of __. I am here to inquire if CAP applies to the restricted purchasing requirements, as it falls under ESF-9 and consistently requires communications equipment and at this moment in time, my assigned radio equipment has been struggling which is currently an XTS5000R, as you may be aware it is quite an old radio that has consistent issues as it ages out of most departments and organizations. A This is an 800 MHz radio. It cannot do VHF or UHF.
