It might. But this equipment is highly nuanced. You would need to ask the radio admin at the department to verify. I’ll add most departments use P25 and not DMR. This is a DMR radio.
I’m a tow truck drive in Houston Texas and we work with hpd in wrecks and prisoners tows is this radio a 800mhz cause the southeast Houston uses military band and on this post your selling one radio or two radios yellow and black

This is a DMR radio. Public safety agencies use P25 or analog radios. And the military uses UHF, not 800 MHz. Either way, you need to obtain a radio from the municipality you are contracted by. You cannot purchase a radio from us.

Good for moto escorts, is this XPR7580e good for this job? My current Baofeng radio Transmit is good for 1/2mi. I often use 463.71250 for moto escorts.

This is an 800 MHZ radio. You need a UHF XPR7550.

Baofeng does not make commercial radio equipment, it's equipment for amateur/ham market.
