Questions & Answers

Q these radio do not come with a battery, charger, dust cover or belt clip?

A These are all sold as options when selecting the purple get quote button above.

Q Do you program these radios for NC

A In theory, this is possible. But in most cases, the radio admin will have strict guidelines about who can program the radios on government networks. I'd ask your radio admin if it's okay for Haloid to program the radios. If they say yes, we will need an official government contact and email address so we can work with them to add you to their network.

Q Is this a Tri band or 800 only?

A This is 800 MHZ only.

Q Does it have any firefighting certification like UL approved?

A Please see the last photo for the CSA and other certifications.

Q I was looking at the kenwood Viking radios that you had for 699.99. Do you still have them.

A Please see the above item.

Q could you program it for me? with my freqz i want, with state patrol

A We would need to be in contact with the radio admin of GSP to see if they will allow this. We suggest you have them contact us.

Q I am looking at the Kenwood VP6430 radio. The description states SCM Required....what is SCM?

A The best authority to determine radio compatibility is your radio programmer. Please send them a link to the radio you're interested in and they can confirm compatibility. With thousands of radio networks nationwide, each with their own requirements, we cannot confirm if a radio is compatible with your area's radio network.

Q Couple questions, 1. what is the diffrence between a VP6430 and a VP6330? 2. what information would you need to Program the radio?

A This is an 800 MHz radio. It operates on different frequencies. Before you order any radio, we suggest you contact a local radio programmer to guide you on what to purchase. We also do not recommend self programming as it could create legal issues if done improperly.

Q Would AES 256 be able to be added to the VP6000 radio?

A Please submit a quote request online and insert AES into the comments. The quote button is available after adding items to your cart. It is the purple button on the cart page.

Q When will you have more Kenwood Viking VP-6430 radios back in stock.

A Yes, we have over 100 available.

Q Does the Kenwood VP6430 have P25 radio Authentication

A It has P25. Could you contact us directly to explain what you mean by authentication?
